Summerville Downtown Alleyway

The “Holy City” of Charleston has long been a bastion of fine dining, shopping and entertainment, making it a prime Lowcountry destination.  Look a bit to the west and you’ll find a charming Victorian sister city that is gaining traction in its own right. Over the last decade, Summerville SC has been a hotbed of growth for industry, tourism and new homes.  Despite the strides Summerville has taken in putting this region on the map, it still maintains its  “small town feel” and that’s exactly why many homebuyers are avidly searching the town to find their future dream home.

Curious to know what kind of homes are currently available in Summerville?  The Guide is here for you! We can help you narrow your search down by county, by city, by builder or by price—right there on the top left of the home page! Start your search by selecting a city—let’s start with historic Summerville. You’ll come up with a map of every new Summerville neighborhood featured on CharlestonNewHomesGuide.com, and below it a lengthy list of communities in alphabetical order, ranging from Bradford Pointe at Nexton to Waterside at Lakes of Cane Bay. You can sort the complete list by neighborhood, price or builder, or use the filter to refine your search even further and only show homes within your price range or by the builder of your choice.

So let’s set a budget: $275,000. Select the price range of $250,001- $300,000, and a number of neighborhoods will turn up, many in great master-planned communities like Cane Bay, Carnes Crossroads, Nexton and Summers Corner.  You’ll see a great variety of homes ranging from single-family, to townhomes, to 55+ active adult communities by esteemed builders like Del Webb Charleston & K. Hovnanian Homes.

We’ll take a look at Lindera Preserve at Cane Bay Plantation by Lennar.  Maybe you really like what you see but realized that you were hoping to find a new home in Dorchester County instead of Berkeley County.   Let us, return to CharlestonNewHomesGuide.com’s search tool and narrow it down by builder this time. You’ll now come up with Lennar’s other communities. You’ll note that they have what might be the perfect option: homes in the same price range in Dorchester County in Summers Corner.  As you scroll through info on the community you see that Summers Corner was voted “Best Community” in 2020, it keeps looking better & better! The community page lists all of the available new home options Lennar builds at Summers Corner and it looks like Azalea Ridge – Carolina Collection might just be the perfect fit for you. Information is available to help you quickly see what schools’ children will attend, some basics on life in Summerville and links to calculate approximate taxes and mortgage so you have a full picture of what your monthly expenditure will be. You can also learn more about Lennar’s building process too.  Still curious about the community? Scroll to the bottom of the page for all of the blogs we have that are a tremendous resource in learning more about life at Summers Corner. There are posts specific to that area of Summerville as well.  You’ll find the latest on promotions, events and community news too.
